2013-05-21: After several months of writing hibernation a new review is online! Check the review section to see what Nick thought of the Rites of Spring Festival (RoSfest) which occurred over the first weekend in May in historic Gettysburg.

2013-05-10: In order to better accommodate the shows European listeners we'll be making a time change. Starting Wednesday, May 15th the show will air from 6-9pm EST. I hope everyone can catch us in the new time slot!

2013-02-25: Big news in the WPaPU world. When the show returns this Wednesday it will be to a station with new ownership. Mark, the owner of Sunday night's "Music in Widescreen" has purchased ProgRock.com and has already begun revamping the site. Many improvements are planned for the future, but for now you will notice that there are improved methods by which to listen and a new chat room. We hope everyone enjoys the new site and likes the improvements to come in the future!

2013-02-15: Firstly, sorry for the lack of broadcast yesterday everyone! Unfortunately things do come up from time to time and get in the way of your regularly scheduled programming. And on a similar note, there will also be no show this coming Wednesday, February 20th. The show will be returning on the 27th, so see you then!

2013-01-14: When Prog and Power Unite has been happily broadcasting for over 5 years without any charges and without any ads on our website. The people involved with the show over the years have contributed to hosting of the site, streaming of the show, and the software/hardware necessary to operate because we truly enjoy bringing great music to those who celebrate it with us every week. And while we will be continuing in that spirit we have added a donations button to the bar on the left for anyone who wishes to contribute. I thank everyone who can spare a few dollars and hope everyone else continues to enjoy the show!

2012-01-02: Happy new year! The winner of our annual album of the year poll this year was Rush! Clockwork Angels will get a half hour of play during the year end wrap up show tonight from 6-11pm. This special show is always a hit and one you don't want to miss, see you then!

The top 10 results can be found in the best of 2012 list.

2012-12-30: The 2012 Year End list is posted! Check it out in the reviews section (or here) to see what Nick and Mason picked as the best of the year, with audio commentary to help explain the picks. Also please be aware that you only have till noon on Jan. 1st to vote in the 2012 album of the year poll! The winning album will get extended play during the year end wrap up spectacular on Jan. 2nd which runs an extended 6-11pm.

2012-12-09: Very important! The URL to hear the show in media players has changed! The new URL is http://174.37.16.73:1320/Live. The old link will still allow you to listen to the station when no DJ is live, however this new link will allow listening to both auto and live DJs, so I suggest everyone make the new URL their standard.

2012-12-07: Time for a big chunk of updates. First off, due to ProgRock server maintenance, some upgrades, and some scheduling issues there has been no broadcast for the last 4 weeks. However that will come to an end on Wednesday, December 12th. I'm looking forward to getting back on the airwaves and seeing a bunch of wonderful folks in chat again!

Next, you will see a link to your left to the 2012 album of the year poll. This poll allows you to vote on the album that will be featured in the year end spectacular. Poll results will be finalized at noon on New Years Day. That of course brings us to the final bit of news. This year the year end spectacular show will be on Wednesday, January 2nd and have extended time as usual. Show will start an hour early at 6pm Eastern Time. And of course it's very likely the music will continue to flow after the 10pm normal end time!

2012-09-12: Hope everyone survived the week off! As promised, now available is a review of Rush's Clockwork Angels tour opening night in Manchester! The short of it is that Rush are aging like wine, check it out.

2012-08-29: As announced on the show tonight, there will be no show next week, September 5th. I'll be prepping for back to back concerts, both of which are quite significant. Sep. 6th is the 2nd show of the Flying Color's debut tour in New York City, and Sep. 7th I'll be traveling to New Hampshire to witness the opening night of Rush's Clockwork Angels tour. To make up for the missed show I'm hoping to do live reviews of both these historic nights!

That's then, but for now something to hold ya'll over until I return in two weeks, a new review! This time around the culprit is Beardfish's The Void. Go check out what the Swedish prog-rockers are up to now!

2012-08-08: A special request for all our podcast listeners: Unlike those able to regularly chat during the show I'm not able to get your feedback in real time and would love to hear from you. After you listen to a podcast feel free to post on our facebook page or send me an email to let me know what songs you liked and those you didn't.

For anyone unaware, all you need to do to get the podcast is to sign up for our email list here.
